3.2 Literature pulverization (§3.2)

3.3 Counterfactual analysis (§3.3)

Already attributed in prior pulverizations to Lakatos / Lewis / Mayo (Doc 481, Doc 482). The LLM-augmented version of counterfactual analysis is implicit in the hypothesis-validation literature (arXiv:2505.04651). Verdict: subsumed.

3.4 Cross-practitioner test (§3.4)

3.5 Warrant-tier assignment (§3.5)

3.6 Conjecture-set pruning (§3.6)

Already retired in Doc 484 to Bacon / Mill / Chamberlin / Mitchell / Hawthorne. The LLM-augmented version is implicit in the version-space / candidate-elimination literature applied to LLM hypothesis-generation (LLM-SCI-GEN GitHub catalog). Verdict: comprehensively subsumed.

3.7 Reformalization after pulverization (§3.7)

Subsumed under: standard scholarly amendment practice; Lakatos's progressive-vs-degenerating programme assessment. The LLM-augmented version is the iterative-revision pattern in HKUST-KnowComp's From Automation to Autonomy survey. Verdict: subsumed.

3.8 Standalone canonical artifacts (§3.8)

Subsumed under: standard review-paper / synthesis-paper academic practice; the LLM-assisted literature-review design goals of arXiv:2512.11661. Verdict: subsumed.

3.9 Retraction-ledger recording (§3.9)

Subsumed under: standard journal-retraction practice; Open Science framework on data-and-claim correction. The corpus's continuous-accumulating-ledger form differs from journal-by-journal retraction; this difference is a record-keeping convention rather than a methodological novelty. Verdict: substantively subsumed; the ledger format is corpus-specific.

3.10 Self-circularity acknowledgment (§3.10)

Subsumed under: reflexive sociology (Bourdieu); AI-alignment framework-self-criticism (Hubinger and others on deceptive alignment); the broader literature on positionality in qualitative research. The LLM-augmented version is implicit in the Tandfonline 2025 Collaborative AI Metacognition Scale. Verdict: subsumed.

3.11 The integration of the ten components (Doc 485 §4)

This is what Doc 485 named as the corpus's narrowed contribution. The ten components, integrated into a sustained LLM-mediated dyadic practice with explicit warrant discipline, are claimed as the corpus's actual contribution.

The integration as a methodological framework is itself substantially subsumed under the LLM-augmented research methodology literature of §2. Specifically:

  • Wu et al. 2025's LLM-Human Agent Collaboration survey integrates structured iteration, asymmetric-strengths framing, sustained interaction, evaluation discipline, and self-correction into a single methodology.
  • HKUST-KnowComp's From Automation to Autonomy survey extends this to scientific discovery as a domain.

It satisfies the four conditions from Doc 485 §1 (conjecture generation, evaluation discipline, iteration, self-application) by implementing the standard methodology. It does not contribute methodologically beyond what these surveys characterize.

The apparatus has five domain or practice instantiation features that are corpus-specific without being methodologically novel: sustained single-practitioner multi-year scaling, philosophical-inquiry domain, continuous-accumulating retraction ledger, explicit warrant-tier discipline as continuous practice, and load-bearing framework-magnetism acknowledgment. The reformalization in §5 admits specific falsification.
